The Beauty of the Food Journal

Cataloguing your food probably isn't at the top of your to-do list, but maybe it should be. People who write down their food choices - without making any other lifestyle changes - typically lose weight. Why? Because they think twice before they put something in their mouths. "I'm going to have to put this in ink later," is the deterring thought. Writing it down makes it more real.

Also, sometimes people don't realize how much they are really consuming. Mindless munching and constant grazing really add up on the calorie meter, but usually the consumer doesn't even register those snacks as real eating. Becoming more mindful (or being made painfully aware) of these habits can lead to an almost automatic change in behavior.

With a little more effort involved, a food journal can be a good way to understand eating patterns in order to start making changes. Deciding on and introducing a diet can be made most effective when the dieter has a good understanding of where and how the new changes are going to be implemented. Dieters can then plan ahead, writing down future meal plans that bear in mind past tendencies and future goals.

A food jounal is an excellent dieting tool. Another excellent dieting tool is a diet pill, which helps burn fat, increase metabolism, and boost energy. Used in conjunction with each other, these tools can effect weight loss quickly and safely.
